A Legacy of Hospitality and a Warm Welcome at BRP

In just a year at BRP, Penny has brought decades of experience, unwavering professionalism, and genuine warmth to our team—reminding us every day what it looks like to serve with heart.

Penny’s journey began in the hospitality industry began at just 17, working in a gift shop at a Days Inn in her hometown of West Palm Beach, Florida. Since then, she’s built a remarkable career rooted in connection, customer service, and leadership—spanning hotels, convention sales, nonprofit work, and arts organizations.

Her resume includes leadership roles at the Whitaker Center, Visit Hershey Harrisburg, Lancaster Arts Hotel, and the Lancaster Chamber of Commerce—all positions where Penny’s drive and relationship-building skills helped shape major initiatives and welcome thousands of guests and clients to the region.

Now, after “retiring” in 2024, we’re lucky to have Penny continue her legacy of hospitality here at BRP as a part-time Office Support team member. She assists with phone communication, email maintenance, filing, and overall office flow, while also supporting sales outreach and lead development. True to her lifelong passion, Penny brings energy and excellence to every task, helping ensure the BRP office runs smoothly and reflects our core values.

Penny is also an active member of Meeting Professionals International Middle PA (MPIMP), where she serves on two committees and the Board, and is a proud graduate of Virginia Tech, Leadership Harrisburg Area, and the Marriott Management Program.

Outside the office, Penny enjoys spending time with her husband Tim, their children, grandchildren, and their dog, Bentley. She fills her days with gardening, cooking, entertaining, and restoring their historic 1846 home in Mount Joy. She also loves to travel—an extension of the curiosity and care that has fueled her hospitality career for over four decades.
